Biosafety Level 2 covers working with pathogenic or infectious organisms posing a moderate hazard.
Examples include Salmonellae, Hepatitis B virus and Measles virus.

Static Pass Box is used to transfer materials between two clean room areas and has no filtered air supply. Main function of a pass box is to pass material from one side to other without raising contamination concern. The essential characteristic of a pass box is the interlocking door mechanism, which ensures that when one door is open, the other remains closed. It is also equipped with UV light.
